Autumn in the Garden

A few photos taken during a walk with my mom this past Autumn at the UI Botanical Gardens.

Yellow daisy

I am feeling a bit 'cold' today...there is a near total whiteout outside my windows, and more snow on the way, so this nice warm looking flower was my pick for the day...no pun intended!

The daisies are a nice bright spot in our garden for several months of the year. These yellow ones stay long after the daffodils and tulips have faded.

When I see daisies, I am instantly transported back to my youth and the plucking of daisy petals in the age old, "He loves me, he loves me not." game (which was NEVER accurate in case you were wondering!). I have killed countless numbers of daisies in this way. These days, I love seeing them in my yard...and I don't pluck their petals.
