Road Trip! Portland - Right before arriving into Portland, Multnomah Falls will draw your gaze. It is the second highest year-round waterfall in the United States at 620 ft, and cascades down from Larch Mountain on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Basin. Visitors can park in the rest area right off Interstate 84 and walk to the base of the falls. The more adventurous...like myself...can hike up to the bridge and beyond. There are a series of trails throughout this area that connect to other parks and smaller waterfalls.
